Join: Administer TechQual+ at Your University

Interested in joining the Higher Education TechQual+ project?  Here's some more information on how to participate.

• Membership is open to any institution of higher education.  Participating institutions may use the Higher Education TechQual+ Assessment and the assessment and reporting tools made available through this web site free of charge.

• Currently, the project is not accepting members from outside higher education.  Follow 'Signup' at the top of this page to create an account for your institution.  Most international institutions are not listed on the signup form, however, you may request an account for your institution, subject to the approval of the TechQual+ project director.  Follow this link for a list of institutions currently participating in the study. 

• Participants are grouped by institution.  When you create an account, you must first select your institution of higher education.  The first participant for an institution is automatically designated as a 'Project Coordinator' for that institution.  Project Coordinators are typically in mid to senior management level positions within the central computing organization on the participating campus, and are individuals who are in a position to represent the 'larger interests' of the institution.  For more information regarding whether you meet this requirement please contact the TechQual+ project director. 

• The TechQual+ system provides for multiple levels of access:  the project coordinators role has the ability to establish and edit system permissions for individuals affiliated with their institutions.  New accounts from a existing participating institution are subject to the review and approval of the institutions' project coordinators; the assessments role has the ability to create and administer TechQual+ assessments; the institutional reports role has the ability to review the results of assessments affiliated with this institution; the peer reports role has the ability to review the quantitative results of assessments conducted at peer institutions based on Educause Core Data Service and Carnegie Classification selection criteria (this functionality is scheduled to be delivered by 2009).
