Reports: Spend Time Leading, Not Writing
IT leaders need robust tools that provide them with inferences at a glance, allowing
for more timely analysis of information. With timely analysis, action can
occur very quickly.
TechQual+ also uses radar charts to graphically represent the results of the campus
assessment. Sometimes called "spider charts" or "polar charts," radar charts
feature multiple axes of "spokes" along which data can be plotted. Variations
in the data are shown by distance from the center of the chart. Points close
to the center indicate a low value, while points near the edge indicate a high value.
The BLUE area represents services
where the actual performance exceeds minimum expectations. The YELLOW area represents services where the actual
performance is below desired expectations. Areas in
RED represent services where the actual performance is below
minimum expectations and areas in GREEN
represent services where the actual performance exceeds the desired expectations.
At a glance, TechQual+ radar charts reveal: a) the priorities of your end
user community. At glance, you can determine which technology services are
a higher priority for your campus community, and, which services are a lower priority;
and b) how technology services are performing. Using a simple color scheme
(red = poor, blue / yellow = better, green = exceptional) TechQual+ radar charts
quickly reveal which services are exceptionally regarded by end users, and, which
services need immediate improvement. These inferences are available to any
observer, whether the observer is the president of the university, or, a member of the faculty or student body.
